On Saturday Night.
When my sister reached home from buying seafood for us.
We were in the kitchen, placing food onto the table.
Scooping Rice.
When,
Suddenly,
We smelt something odd.
It smelt like burned tyre.
It was such a distinct smell that it even aroused my mom,
who was in the toilet at that point of time.
I rushed to the stove to see whether there were any gas leakage happening in our house.
Then, my sister asked me to look outside the window.
Thick smoke formed in front of our window.
Grey in colour resulting in eyes tearing.
It was my neighbour's house right above our house.
My brother-in-law and my sister ran upstairs to his house.
He banged the door real hard for at least three times.
Once the door was opened,
a man only in briefs opened the door.
Flames could be seen from the main door.
It was happening in the kitchen.
Fire that caught up with oil in the frying pan.
The fire reached the ceiling of that house.
The man said he could contain the fire.
For precautions sake, we called the fire brigade.
They came around ten minutes later.
The fire was already contained.
But they stayed to assess the situation.
First time after living here for ten years,
have I ever seen such action and anxiousness of the neighbours.
Now, I really know.
If my house were to caught fire, there will be those caring neighbours on the lookout.
Sunday was eating day.
All of us went to Han's River.
My treat for 1st pay.
:D
It was well, fair...
I still prefer Seoul Garden.
Haha...
That was the best dinner I ever had in a long time.
Although, the money's gone,
the memories last forever...
